Through these relationships, Cleveland Clinic HVTI provides management services including clinical direction, quality assurance and access to the latest in cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

    Cleveland Clinic will work with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams at three Nuvance Health hospitals, including Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, and Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut. Cleveland Clinic’s HVTI will share clinical best practices for patient care, giving Nuvance Health patients access to their expertise, including the latest technologies and innovations in heart care.

    You and your family will benefit from the opportunities provided through new treatments and therapies and will also benefit from Nuvance Health physicians’ accelerated access to the resources of Cleveland Clinic’s HVTI’s expertise in cardiac care.   • What type of clinical policies or treatment protocols might be shared between the hospitals?   

    Cleveland Clinic HVTI will continue to provide access to its protocols, procedures, intellectual property and clinicians. This allows Nuvance Health to access Cleveland Clinic HVTI expertise regarding complex medical situations and also provides access to the newest technologies and innovations. Cleveland Clinic HVTI will also continue to share best practices related to the various subspecialties within cardiology and cardiac surgery.

  • When did Cleveland Clinic HVTI form the affiliate program?  
    The Cleveland Clinic HVTI affiliate program was launched in 2003. The affiliate network includes 14 hospitals across the country, with the addition of the three Nuvance Health hospitals. As affiliates, the Nuvance Health Heart and Vascular Institute and Cleveland Clinic remain independent, with no changes in control of physicians or staff.
