Electrophysiologist joins Norwalk Hospital

As an electrophysiologist, Granit Veseli, MD, has a passion for managing cardiac arrythmias.
“Arrhythmias can be highly debilitating or life-threatening for our patients,” Dr. Veseli said of the condition that causes an irregular heartbeat. “Prompt diagnosis and intervention to improve patients’ symptoms and survival is of the highest priority in my job.”
Dr. Veseli recently joined Nuvance Health, part of Northwell Health, and sees patients at the Nuvance Health Medical Practice Cardiology offices in Norwalk and Westport, Conn.
Dr. Veseli specializes in the management of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia and the implantation of cardiac electronic devices. He also has expertise in performing left atrial appendage occlusion procedures, offering patients access to innovative treatments that improve cardiovascular health and overall quality of life.

Originally from Kosova, Dr. Veseli immigrated to the United States at age 15. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, a Caribbean island.
He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He also completed an advanced cardiac electrophysiology (EP) fellowship at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.
Following his EP training, Dr. Veseli worked at Huntington Hospital in Huntington, NY, providing a variety of arrhythmia treatments to patients in the community for six years before heading to Norwalk Hospital.
