Step 1
Call your Nuvance Health Medical Practice doctor’s office to schedule your Telehealth Visit. All Nuvance Health Medical Practice and Heart Center offices offer telehealth visits. If you are a new patient, find a doctor.

 

Step 2
On the day of your scheduled telehealth visit, you’ll receive a text message or email with a link to join your visit.

Is a telehealth visit right for me?

Nuvance Health Medical Practice offer telehealth visits. Count on us for primary care and many specialty appointments, including follow-up care with:


  • Endocrinology


  • Neurology


  • Rheumatology


Refer to the list on this page of common conditions we treat through telehealth visits. If your concern isn’t on the list, simply call your doctor’s office to see if a telehealth visit is right for you. Virtual doctor appointments should not be used for:


  • Emergency care–If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, call 911


  • Well visits or visits requiring a physical examination


Does insurance cover a telehealth visit? What is the cost?

Most insurance plans do cover telehealth visits. Please call your insurance company or medical practice with specific questions on your specific insurance plan and coverage to determine your out-of-pocket costs.

What do I need to have a telehealth visit?

A quiet place to have a private conversation, and either:


  • Computer with a reliable internet connection, working camera/speaker/microphone


  • Smartphone or tablet with a camera/speaker/microphone


Who can help me set up my camera, speaker and microphone?

Please contact a friend or family member. If this is not an available option, enter the search terms “telehealth computer test camera microphone” on YouTube or Google. You can also call your local computer repair shop (e.g., Geek Squad, Staples, etc.).
