And our setting at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY — with private rooms and a spacious gym — provides the serenity needed for maximizing recovery.

Admissions criteria
Our rehabilitation center offers a far greater level of therapy than a short-term rehab facility, such as a nursing home. We care for patients who:
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Require at least two skilled therapies: physical, occupational and/or speech
  • Receive three hours of therapy daily for five to six days per week
  • Need inpatient rehabilitation medicine managed by a doctor
  • Require around-the-clock supervision from nurses trained in rehabilitation medicine
  • Have a discharge plan
We are not able to care for patients who:
  • Require dialysis
  • Are ventilator dependent
  • Have a traumatic spinal cord injury

Insurance
Rehabilitation is typically covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
