Dr. Kashif Ather, a cardiologist who specializes in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, recently joined The Heart Center, a division of Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Practice, P.C., which is part of Nuvance Health Medical Practice.
“The Heart Center has established a reputation of excellence in the community,” Dr. Ather said. “I look forward to being part of the team and to continue to advance quality cardiac care in the community.”
Dr. Ather is board-certified in internal medicine and fellowship trained in cardiovascular disease. He completed his residency and fellowship training at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, R.I.
He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Conn. He also volunteered for several years at the South Park Inn Medical Clinic in Hartford, Conn.
Dr. Ather has extensive teaching and research experience including conducting an electrocardiogram (EKG) lecture series for medical students. He specializes in echocardiography, the use of ultrasound waves to examine the actions of the heart and nuclear cardiology, which uses medical imaging to diagnose heart conditions.
